I have a massive stationary collection (I heart beautifully made cards) and was rifling through my stash the other day to write thank you notes for Livs first birthday when I came across a handful of cards that I had purchased for envelope purposes only. I am often short on envelopes and sometimes buy the super cheap cards just for extras!
These cards have a sweet pattern that remind me a little of a playful Valentines day note and an idea was born.

After hunting around the house I was happy to find that I had nearly everything I needed on hand for my Valentines Day treat bags.

Wallpaper of today is definitely not what it used to be with the installation process and the choice of patterns or images available. Ghastly florals and patterns of the past are replaced by reinvented, contemporary florals, patterns and palettes of the present.

Garden Reports and Rejoicing – January 23
The title of this post seems like a contradiction, but hear me out. We have a narrow lot. Although the total isn’t small by Cape Cod standards, the overall property is long and thin. This shape presents several challenges when it comes to garden design.
One of the considerations is how to make it all seem less restricted and create the impression that our land extends in width as well as length. In the lower part of Poison Ivy Acres the added concern is that these lands can’t, because of zoning, contain any permanent structures and we want them to be as native and low-maintenance as possible.

Crate & Barrel’s sister store, CB2, finally opened its doors around the corner from our office in Toronto. I visited over the weekend, and thought I would share the items that caught my eye:

This rocking chair would add just the right amount of colour to a grey or white living room. Curtis Clover Rocker, $349.

They had a few of these fun mirrors hung vertically as one long mirror — perfect for an entryway. <
