Japanese designer Takeshi Sano has created a ceiling design, using thousands of wooden sticks, in the Tsujita restaurant in Los Angeles, California.
In order to increase a reality of clouds, I calculate the focal length between eye line and wooden sticks and use that length for the stick length. It’s July and we all enjoy summer! This is the best time to relax, to merge with nature and forget about everything. One of the best ways to do it is to build a small house or a guest house in your garden. A house in the garden may be of some interesting shape or with rustic touch like this one. Yakutsk is the world’s largest city built on permafrost with temperatures ranging from -45degF to 90degF.
The extensive and intensive indoor gardens have been designed to “promote a sense of year-round natural life even in the desolate winter months.”
Not much is said of the about the construction of the landscape elements and gardens. This

I could spend hours sifting through the portfolio of Phoebe Howard. It seems every time I get drawn into her dreamy world I discover something new. I recently read a Q&A in the Washington Post where Phoebe talked about her design philosophies. A hallmark of her style is the use of color in a monochromatic way. Full Article…
