When is a teapot not a teapot? When it’s a bird feeder!
I’m at the lovely Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz and my eye was caught by these colorful ceramic teapots at around 8″ high by 8″ diameter in a variety of bright and happy glazes. Then, lifting the lid, I saw a chain meant to hang it from a shepherd’s hook or a tree limb. Further in

Have you seen those adorable chalkboard decals floating round the web? I was initially inspired by this one, but decided that it was a bit ornate and pricey for our space. So instead I ordered a long sheet of chalkboard vinyl off of Amazon and made my own.
Our fridge is stainless steel so it doesnt hold on to magnets for lists or invites or pictures that we want to hang.

Sharing a quick update in our nursery today. I finally had some time to restring the butterflies from Livs felt mobile and to invest in a proper wooden hanger! My previous version worked for a while and then decided it didnt want to support the weight of the little floating felt butterflies any longer.
If youre ever interested in creating your own unique mobile, I highly recommend purchasing a basic wooden frame/hanger from Seven Acre Toys as your base. I searched for quite a while to find something that would fit the look and design that I had in mind and was so happy I eventually came across their site on Etsy.
